Eau de Cologne Shaving Soap – by Fenomeno
Description
The fragrance was invented in Spain by monks of the Dominican order.
It was made from various oils: orange, lemon, bergamot, neroli, petitgrain, lavender,
rosemary leaves, lemon balm and iris rhizome (violet root). This recipe went to the Italian Johann Farina, who sold spices in Cologne.
In 1709, Farina founded the Cologne manufactory, and named this perfume after his new home, the city of Cologne: “Cologne water” (French Cologne)
Thanks to this fragrance, Cologne became a world-famous city of perfumers: in the XVIII century, “Cologne water” is ordered by the highest society of all Europe. King Frederick II of Prussia, who gives Cologne as a gift to the Russian tsarina Catherine II; later, the Cologne is also bought by Tsar Alexander I. It Is known that Napoleon used up to sixty vials of “Cologne water” in a month .
Fenomeno Shave © recreated this fragrance with classic and timeless characteristics, in a shaving soap. Where bitter top notes of orange and lemon zest open in the heart of bright, juicy citrus.
Bergamot and neroli essential oils blend with a floral bouquet of lavender and rosemary, adding depth and complexity to this fresh fragrance.
The coolness of Melissa completes the exquisite perfume composition, as a herbal
