Description
Tobac Fanaile Bar Soap – by Murphy and McNeil
Description:
Tobacco was not introduced into Europe until 1548, and some of the first seeds were planted in County Cork, Ireland. Although it quickly grew in popularity, King James the First (1566-1625) greatly suppressed cultivation by raising taxes/duties. He claimed this was due to the “pernicious stink and perversion of the soil” it represented and was causing.
Tobac Fanaile is dedicated to those who look forward to donning some “pernicious stink” and being noticed.
