Alexander Simpson, a Scotsman, created the first shaving brushes and male grooming products in 1919. His manufacturing business began in London’s East End and moved to Clapham later. Unfortunately, the WWII Luftwaffe destroyed his factory in 1941, so he relocated production to Nimmer Mill in the West Country. Today, Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Ltd. operates on the historic Isle of Man, hand-tying knots and making Simpson shaving brushes and other items the traditional way. The Trafalgar Series is our newest addition to Alexander Simpson Est. 1919 products, featuring a stylish lathe-turned handle filled with the top-grade Sovereign synthetic fiber.
